High Noon – No prisoners taken | OneFootball

If anyone hasn’t seen the classic 1952 High Noon film featuring Gary Cooper, let me tell you, it’s a nailbiter right to the very end.

Throughout the movie there are regular clips of the clock ticking down, as an anxious Marshal Will Kane (Cooper) waits for the midday train to arrive, carrying his recently released from prison and villainous nemesis, Frank Miller.

Over the last few days, the importance of this Newcastle v Chelsea match today has been playing on my mind.

I have even began to feel like Cooper’s character in the film script.

It looks like it has come down to a straight shootout between United and the Blues, as we both compete for Champions League qualification.

Both teams are neck and neck, on the same points and with exactly the same goal differences, though Newcastle having scored four more goals

In the High Noon film, Marshal Kane ultimately prevails.

That’s what I’m going to back Newcastle to do at St James’ Park today.

There may be a few thrills and spills along the way but I have always thought this season that we have a better side and all round team spirit than Chelsea.
