A change of venue and approach in Italy seems to be exactly what Randal Kolo Muani (26) needed to get back to top form.
The Juventus striker has been in fine goal-scoring form since coming to Italy on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in the winter transfer window, scoring four goals in his last two Serie A fixtures after receiving plenty of criticism during his time in Paris.
Kolo Muani has spoken about what life’s been like for him since moving to Serie A. “I was very well received like I was in a big family. Honestly, I feel very good,” the attacker told Sky Italia on Friday.
The man who drew the attention of foreign leagues with his form at FC Nantes years ago has fit in seamlessly under Thiago Motta at Juve.
He says there’s a noticeable difference between Ligue 1 and the Italian top-flight.
“Here we work a lot more, and it is a lot more tactical,” according to Kolo Muani.
During his time with Juventus, Kolo Muani has mainly operated as a loan central striker up top for the Italian giants, a formation that seems ideal for a player of his calibre.
Thanks in part to Kolo Muani’s contributions, Juventus are back in the hunt for an automatic qualification in the UEFA Champions League next season, just two points behind Lazio for that final spot.
With two goals against Como last weekend, Kolo Muani became the first Juve player to score in his first three Serie A fixtures for Juventus since Roberto Baggio in the 1990-91 season.
