Shelbourne Football Club is delighted to announce the transfer of Harry Wood from Hull City on a permanent deal, subject to international clearance.

A fan favourite, the 21-year-old returns to Tolka Park having put pen to paper on a long term contract. Wood spent the second half of last season on loan at Shels.

The Englishman made a big impact when he joined Shels at the same juncture in 2023. He went on to make 15 appearances, scoring two goals against Cork City and Dundalk and registering six assists.

A creative and technically gifted player, Woods ability makes him a handful for defenders.

Wood began his career at Manchester United’s Academy, and made his first team breakthrough in the 2020/21 season for Hull City. He came on as a second-half substitute in the side’s final fixture of the 2020/21 season against Charlton Athletic, lifting the League One trophy.

Wood made his home debut against Wigan Athletic in the EFL Cup in August 2021 before joining Scunthorpe United on loan. He spent six months with the Iron, making 13 appearances in all competitions and getting four assists.

His Championship debut came on the final day of the 2022/23 season, coming on as a substitute against Luton Town.

Following his spell at Shels, Wood spent some time with Grimsby Town. All at Shelbourne FC are delighted to welcome Harry Wood back to Tolka.
