Hansi Flick confirms the position he wants Barcelona to strengthen this summer | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has confirmed the area of his squad which he feels is in need of fresh blood with a view to next season.

The position in question? On the left wing.

Barcelona have of course been linked with a whole host of potential reinforcements out wide ahead of the summer transfer window swinging open.

From Liverpool’s Luis Díaz to Marcus Rashford of Manchester United and Monaco starlet Eliesse Ben Seghir, the Blaugrana are understood to be keeping an eye on a number of attackers from across the continent.

Speaking to the media during his final pre-match press conference of the campaign on Saturday, it therefore came as little surprise when Hansi Flick was drawn on Barca’s plans for the summer.

And the German was not shy in confirming that sporting director Deco has indeed been set the task of landing a new left winger to compete with Raphinha:

“With Deco we talked about the fact that in the left winger position we perhaps didn’t have many options in the last few games. We have to bring more options there and more quality. That is already Deco’s job.”
