Pep Guardiola says Ruben Dias and Oscar Bobb are not ready to feature against Salford City on Saturday.
We welcome the League Two promotion chasers to the Etihad Stadium in a 17:45 (UK) kick-off in the FA Cup third round.
Dias has been unavailable through injury since the Manchester derby on 15 December, while Bobb was cruelly ruled out of the first period of the campaign with a leg injury just days before the Premier League began.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Guardiola said that the pair are getting closer but insisted they will not play this weekend.
"Not yet. He feels better but not ready. I don’t know when," he began on Dias.
On Bobb, he said: "[He is] training with the team partially. That’s good news for us. It was a fractured bone.
"Now that is healed, he’s fine but good news is he's back."
The boss gave a mixed response, stating that the Brazilian goalkeeper can play but he was less positive about Stones.
