Gian Piero Gasperini responds to rumors of Roma’s interest: “Bergamo is also a beautiful city, like Rome.”

Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini spoke to the media following his side’s imposing 4-0 victory over Juventus.

In the post-match media appearance, Gasperini was also briefly asked about Roma’s interest in him.

When asked if he will stay in case of Atalanta winning the Scudetto, Gasperini answered, “I could even retire, because what else is there for me to do?”

“In the meantime, we are on a beautiful journey, every year it seems that we cannot do more but a wonderful season comes out regardless. At my age, you live in the present.”

Then about Roma: “Rome, a beautiful city? Bergamo is also beautiful.”

“Is my chapter with Atalanta coming to an end? There are no problems, with the club I have a relationship of mutual respect and affection but football is only based on personal relationships.”
