Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi was interviewed shortly prior to kick-off against Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico.

The French executive was asked about Roma’s search for a new coach given Claudio Ranieri’s expiring contract.

“I am not here to confirm or deny the process. What I can tell the fans is that we are working hard every day, we have clear ideas, we are aligned with the coach and the owner 100%.”

“We want to build an organization with unity and passion. The ownership will announce the new coach at the right time,” he declared.

“We are working on the future but the most important thing is the present and today there is a difficult match ahead of us.”

“Svilar? We are in no hurry, the contract expires in 2027. We are talking and we are optimistic. He wants to stay at Roma and we want to build the future with him.”

“He deserves the renewal and the best, we want to build the team with financial coherence.”
