GdS: ‘How long will it take’ – Milan management in a critical state ahead of summer

The stock of the AC Milan management is constantly falling, and with a big summer needed, it could arguably not be happening at a worse time.

There is a clear need for change on and off the pitch at Milan. Across several levels fans are unhappy, performances are lacking, signings are not up to scratch, and the club generally has little direction upwards in its current state.

So, change is needed, desperately.

Unfortunately, action is not being taken just yet, with evaluations still taking place regarding some of the key matters, such as a sporting director. However, there has been a stalling on this matter, and there seems to be no sign of that changing yet.

The pressure, as Gazzetta dello Sport wrote this morning, rests on the shoulders of Giorgio Furlani, who is in the limelight. So far, there are no signs that he is ready to make – or is making – the difficult decisions, and if he is, it certainly is not clear.

Logic suggests that the club needs a sporting director, but the Rossoneri have overlooked the logical option, instead, toying with the idea of appointing Igli Tare. Instead, the idea of Tony D’Amico still seems to be the preference, even though the job has been refused.

Whilst time is running out to prepare, Milan are not taking action. They are waiting, and waiting, and there is no idea about how long it will take.
