Reports in Italy claim that Juventus and Italy international Federico Gatti have an agreement in place for a new contract extension, which will tie the centre-back to the club until the summer of 2030, the longest commitment of any player in the current Bianconeri squad.

Juventus and Gatti have reportedly been in talks over a new contract for several months already, and according to Calciomercato.com, an official announcement regarding his extension will be announced at some stage in May.

Gatti is currently committed to a contract that runs until the summer of 2028, and that will reportedly be extended for a further two years until the end of the 2029-30 season.

Gatti is currently on a net salary of around €1.5m per season, which is on the lower end of Juventus’s regular starters. Thursday’s reports claim that this figure is set to be doubled to somewhere in the region of €3m per season.

If this is the case, then Gatti will be the player with the longest-running contract at Juventus.

As things stand, the Bianconeri have a large selection of players currently tied to the club until 2029. They are: Kenan Yildiz, Teun Koopmeiners, Douglas Luiz, Andrea Cambiaso, Khephren Thuram, Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, Nicolo Savona, Alberto Costa and Vasilije Adzic, but no Juventus players are contracted until 2030 at the moment.

The Old Lady have also recently announced that they have extended the contract of striker Arkadiusz Milik for a further 12 months.

The Poland international has not played in close to a year, but the Bianconeri are now able to spread the remaining wages on Milik’s contract over a two-year period instead of a one-year period, which helps the club from an accounting point of view.
