Chelsea have not ruled out a move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, after expressing initial interest in January.
Garnacho has been informed that he does not feature in Ruben Amorim’s plans for the upcoming campaign. Chelsea enquired into the availability of the Argentina international in January but a deal failed to materialise.
Despite adding Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens to their options this summer, Chelsea remain interested in adding another attacker to their squad.
Enzo Maresca is plotting an overhaul of his forward line with Raheem Sterling, Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku set to leave.
The futures of Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson are also uncertain, while Mykhailo Mudryk remains provisionally suspended after failing a doping test.
Garnacho fits the profile of player Chelsea have sought to recruit in recent windows. The 21-year-old has amassed 144 senior appearances for the Red Devils and has earned eight senior caps for Argentina. Last season, he scored 11 times in all competitions and added 10 assists.
Flashscore are reporting that Chelsea have not ruled out a fresh move for Garnacho, though he is one of several options under consideration.
Manchester United are keen to offload the player, who is valued at around £50m. The Red Devils are working on a deal to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford as a replacement.
