Manchester United take on Crystal Palace in today’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils picked up a third-straight win in all competitions with an impressive victory over FCSB in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The club are progressing well under manager Ruben Amorim and will now be eyeing back-to-back league wins for the first time this campaign.
We anticipate at least five changes from the victory over the Romanian outfit.
Formation: 3-4-2-1
Altay Bayindir was picked in goal ahead of Andre Onana for the Europa League fixture, but the latter is expected to return between the sticks against Palace.
In the back three, we anticipate one change from midweek. Noussair Mazraoui could make way for Harry Maguire. The Englishman is poised to partner Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez.
Noussair Mazraoui is likely to drop to the bench and could be accompanied by Tyrell Malacia, who has been touted to leave on loan before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
Amad Diallo should start from the right wing-back role today, with Diogo Dalot moving to left wing-back. Dalot will soon have competition in the form of Patrick Dorgu, who has arrived from Lecce.
In the centre of the park, Toby Collyer is expected to be replaced by Manuel Ugarte. Bruno Fernandes will accompany the Uruguayan star, with Kobbie Mainoo playing higher up the pitch.
Mainoo was sensational from the left no.10 role against FCSB with a goal and an assist. He is poised to keep his place. Alejandro Garnacho could partner him in attacking midfield.
Garnacho’s future has been speculated, but his displays have been brilliant. He assisted Mainoo’s goal against FCSB after coming on as a substitute. Christian Eriksen will drop to the bench.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have been rotated up front in recent weeks. Amorim could stick with the former as the no.9 on the back of another positive result in Europe.
Manchester United’s home game against Crystal Palace is a crucial one for the Red Devils as they push to improve their home form.
