As frustrated as we are to have missed out on the UEFA Champions League, there is one thing to remember - we have a chance to impress in the UEFA Europa League from September. Our full focus is now on our everyday business of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga - and we have to check our map app carefully this weekend.
We go away on Saturday at 17:00 CEST to face TSV Hartberg - but not in their native Styria, but instead in Maria Enzersdorf in Lower Austria. Their home of the Profertil Arena is undergoing a full refurbishment. Manfred Schmid's men are therefore taking a one-hour trip to play their home fixtures this autumn at the Datenpol Arena.
The opponents started the season badly with a 2-4 defeat to shock league leaders WSG Tirol, but bounced back with a 1-0 win over FC Blau-Weiß Linz. Hartberg are still in the process of forming a new team after undergoing major turnover this summer. Attacking star Donis Avdijaj is just one of the pillars of the side that made it to the cup final last season to leave.
We will be aiming to take three points! Our last meeting in December 2024 resulted in a clear 4-0 win, after all.
Sky Sport Austria are to broadcast the match live. Any fans coming to the stadium can buy tickets at the away ticket points from 90 minutes before kick-off.

Of course, we are disappointed to have been knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers. The great thing about football is that you just have to keep going, and we have an important away game against Hartberg coming up. It is certainly unusual that we are playing in a different location due to their stadium renovation. Hartberg have rightly held their own in the Bundesliga for several years and are a team that always have a lot to offer as a unit. They are somewhat comparable to our previous opponents Ried and GAK, which means we have to be 100% focused from the start in this match as well. We have a clear aim in mind - we want to immediately make up for getting knocked out of the Champions League with a win in the Bundesliga.

Even though getting knocked out against Club Brugge hurt, we don't have time to dwell on it and feel sorry for ourselves. Ultimately, the important thing is that we have qualified for another European competition, the Europa League. From now on, we will be fully focused on the match against Hartberg, because they are difficult and determined opponents. We will have to push ourselves to the limit again in this game if we want to return to Salzburg with three points.
