Real Madrid star Lucas Vázquez has turned heads across social media late on Tuesday evening.

As much comes after the Spaniard sent the bluntest of messages to departing Blancos teammate Toni Kroos.

Midfielder Kroos, of course, broke hearts across Madrid earlier today.

This came by way of an announcement on the part of the 34-year-old, that he has come to the decision to hang up his boots in the summer.

The brass at the Santiago Bernabéu had long been pushing the club’s engine room conductor to put pen to paper on a one-year extension.

In the end, however, Kroos came to the conclusion that his time at the top level of the game is up.

He will in turn finish out the campaign with Real Madrid, before bidding farewell to football at this summer’s European Championships in his home country of Germany.

News of Kroos’ decision has since been met with a combination of despair, and well-wishes for his future outside of the game.

One individual, however, this evening moved to speak on behalf of the Real Madrid faithful, by way of an altogether different kind of message…

Taking to his official ‘X’ account, the aforementioned Lucas Vázquez responded to a post on the part of his departing teammate, with two simple words:

‘f**k you’

This, of course, is not intended in any kind of malicious or mean-spirited manner.

Instead, it sums up the collective feelings of not only those of a Blancos persuasion, but football purists the world over…

Why, Toni? Why deprive us of your brilliance? And how will we manage without it? You’re leaving too soon!
