An official photo of Manchester City’s brand new 2025/26 away kit has now surfaced ahead of the club’s official launch on Friday, it can be revealed.
As has become tradition, City’s new kits for the season ahead are gradually being introduced to fans throughout the summer months preceding the campaign — with a series of official launches, social media campaigns, and in-person retail activations planned by Puma.
This year’s Manchester City away kit had remained tightly under wraps until recent days, with only vague colour hints and early – yet accurate – concept designs circulating across forums and leak accounts.
However, with the club’s men’s and women’s senior squads due to appear at the ‘City Are Back’ open training event on August 5, and the first pre-season friendly against Palermo scheduled for August 9, City were always expected to unveil a wider range of kits before the end of July.
The home kit is already available and has made its on-field debut for the Men’s team at the FIFA Club World Cup, but attention has now shifted sharply to the away edition — and particularly the new aesthetic direction it signals.
Black kits have always been a popular choice among football supporters, with the last instance coming during the 2023/24 campaign. However, unlike previous designs which featured bold accents and vibrant trim, this year’s away jersey opts for a more restrained and refined look.
Now, ahead of the official launch of Manchester City’s brand new away shirt on Friday for the forthcoming 2025/26 season, the first photo showcasing the kit in its entirety has surfaced on social media courtesy of Esvaphane.

The leaked image confirms the long-rumoured colour scheme: a simple black base paired with metallic silver detailing — most notably on the club crest, Puma logo, and shirt sponsor.
A classic collar, also featuring a silver trim, completes the elegant silhouette and offers a subtle nod to vintage shirt designs, while early reactions online suggest supporters are overwhelmingly in favour of the new look.
Manchester City’s stars are set to officially showcase the kit later this week, with fresh images of key players modelling the jersey in campaign material set against industrial or minimalist backdrops – a typical Puma aesthetic.
The shirt could also make its first on-pitch appearance as early as the Palermo fixture as part of Pep Guardiola’s pre-season schedule.
