Fiorentina could increase Kean release clause after Arsenal and Tottenham interest | OneFootball

Reports in Italy suggest that Fiorentina are considering increasing the release clause included in Moise Kean’s contract following reported interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham in the Premier League.

Kean has been in fine form in front of goal this term, and with his brace in the 3-0 win over Inter on Thursday night hit the 20 mark for goals in all competitions in 2024-25. To date, he has 15 goals from 22 outings in Serie A, three in the UEFA Conference League, one in the Coppa Italia and one for the Italy national team.

Those numbers become even more impressive when last season is factored in, given that he failed to score a single goal in a year to forget with Juventus.

Eyebrows were raised when Fiorentina spent €18m to secure his services from the Bianconeri, and even more so at the €52m release clause that was included in his contract.

However, according to reports over the weekend, both Arsenal and Tottenham are now monitoring the Italian’s progress ahead of the summer transfer window, with both teams being on the look-out for a new centre-forward for the 2025-26 campaign.

As a result, Fiorentina could take steps to increase Kean’s release clause, according to reports from Calciomercato.com, which could also lead to a new contract extension for the 24-year-old.
