FC Bayern is looking for a coach in the Premier League – Kompany was discussed | OneFootball

The big question at FC Bayern remains: who will be the new coach in Munich? The FCB managers are apparently looking for an international solution and are probably looking around the Premier League in particular.

In the search for a new coach, FC Bayern bosses are apparently favouring an international solution. According to information from Sky, those in charge in Munich are primarily exploring the market in the English Premier League.

According to the report, talks are currently being held with coaches who are still under contract with Premier League clubs.

Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg explained that the list is very small, but that no specific names are known yet. However, Plettenberg also said that research is currently underway: „This is the first list we can name: We are looking at Pochettino, Arteta, we are looking at Silva and Kompany, maybe one or two more names will be added.“

Mauricio Pochettino currently coaches Chelsea FC, Marco Silva is on the bench at Fulham FC and Vincent Kompany is coach at Burnley FC. Mikel Arteta is coach at Arsenal FC and seems to have big plans for the Londoners. The club is also happy with the Spaniard. Whether Arteta could really be a candidate for Bayern therefore seems rather questionable.

Kompany, on the other hand, could be a hotter candidate. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Belgian’s name has been discussed within Bayern – despite his relegation from the Premier League with Burnley.

Thomas Frank is also mentioned. According to BILD, the Danish coach of FC Brentford is a candidate at Bayern. This would fit in with the fact that, according to the report, Munich are currently negotiating with a coach whose club is not in the top six of the Premier League.

Ten Hag no longer a candidate?

According to the Mirror, Bayern still have Erik ten Hag on their radar. Munich are hoping that Manchester United will part company with the Dutchman so that they can bring the former Bayern II coach back to Munich.

According to Sky, however, ten Hag is no longer on FC Bayern’s list. Just like several other coaches: Zinedine Zidane, Hansi Flick, Oliver Glasner and Jose Mourinho are also said to no longer have a chance.

According to BILD, the name Eddie Howe was also mentioned in the talks between the Bayern bosses. However, the Newcastle United coach is not currently a candidate at Säbener Straße.
