PSG are facing growing uncertainty in goal, and LOSC Lille’s Lucas Chevalier is emerging as a potential long-term solution. The 23-year-old French goalkeeper has attracted strong interest as the summer transfer window picks up speed.

Gianluigi Donnarumma remains under contract until 2026, but questions continue to surround his future, with no contract extension in place.

According to L’Équipe, PSG have ramped up their pursuit of Chevalier, who is under contract with Lille through 2027. Talks over a five-year deal began several days ago, and Chevalier has already reached a broad agreement with PSG. Only minor details remain before negotiations between the two clubs get underway.

A deal is expected to cost at least €40 million—a price PSG have already evaluated internally and are prepared to pay.

ESPN recently reported that Aston Villa have contacted Lille about a possible move for Chevalier as a potential replacement for Emiliano Martínez, who is exploring options for a move away. Still, Villa appear likely to miss out.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that PSG are close to finalizing a deal for Lucas Chevalier. The club has already reached an agreement with the goalkeeper, and negotiations with Lille are in the final stages. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Lille president Olivier Létang are directly involved in the talks.

On Monday, RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins reported that Donnarumma hasn’t left PSG yet, but his agents are actively exploring the market to find him a potential landing spot.

The Italian goalkeeper is said to have several options, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Galatasaray, and clubs from Saudi Arabia showing interest. However, Donnarumma remains committed to PSG and is expected to leave only if a project fully convinces him.
