Fabrizio Romano has thrown complete shade over a huge Chelsea transfer rumour that was put out by The Times last night.

I am sure that the writers of this article in The Times are not going to be best pleased when they see that transfer expert Romano is rubbishing their transfer report. But that is what has happened here.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now sniffing around Wolves attacker!

Before we get to that one though, Romano has also reported that Chelsea have had contact with top transfer target Alejandro Garnacho on Monday, with the player’s fee being reported at £59m.

As well as this, there was some news out on more contacts between Chelsea and Juventus for defender Renato Veiga to head there on loan this window.

And this is the piece of news that was connected to what The Times are reporting.

They claim that Chelsea are considering a move for Dusan Vlahovic after they held talks to offload their defender, Renato Veiga, to the Italian club.

Romano shuts that down

Vlahovic scores for Juventus

Romano says that there have been no contacts between Juventus and Chelsea for Dusan Vlahovic and the striker is NOT a name on Chelsea’s list.

This rumour was not even about for hours before Romano comes out and shuts it down in an instant. So I’d be very surprised if we now heard anything more about this one, at least for this window. Vlahovic to Chelsea IS a rumour that seems to pop up every window, so I am sure we will see it again one day very soon.

But until then, Romano has rubbished what The Times are claiming. We shall see if anything more comes of it, but I’d suspect that Romano is right with this one.
