Liverpool could be set for a significant windfall as they look to balance the books following a summer of spending.

The Premier League champions have already cashed in on Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarell Quansah, Luis Diaz, Tyler Morton and Caoimhin Kelleher, raising funds in excess of £120million.

Business is far from done at Anfield though. A centre-back is still wanted while the Reds are still in pursuit of Alexander Isak, despite having a British record transfer bid turned down for him last week.

There's an expectation that Harvey Elliott, Kostas Tsimikas, Ben Doak and Federico Chiesa could all depart with interest high in the quartet.

Fabrizio Romano provides Darwin Nunez update

However, the most likely next sale for Liverpool is Darwin Nunez, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday morning.

Posting on X, the Italian transfer guru revealed that the Liverpool No9 is in talks with Al Hilal of the Saudi Arabia Pro League.

As exclusively revealed by Anfield Watch in January, Al Hilal tried to sign the former Benfica man during the winter window but a deal collapsed due to the timing. Remaining in Europe was believed to be a priority this summer for the 26-year-old but Napoli couldn't match Liverpool's asking price while AC Milan, another potential suitor, just don't have the finances to make a deal work.

A short-term move to Saudi could be the only option for Darwin.
