Leeds United Under-18s continue their FA Youth Cup campaign as they welcome Manchester City Under-18s to the LNER Community Stadium, in Tuesday’s Fifth Round clash.
The match will see a repeat of last season’s final at the Etihad Stadium, pitting Rob Etherington’s young Whites against the Blues.
United kickstarted their journey in this season’s edition of the prestigious tournament with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Victory by the same scoreline then came in the Fourth Round, as Leeds beat AFC Fylde away from home. A brace from Oliver Pickles and a late Louie Dudley strike proved the difference on the evening for the visitors!
Manchester City, meanwhile, began their defence of the trophy narrowly edging past Crystal Palace on home soil, before putting in a dominant display to cruise past Millwall last time out.
On league duties the two sides met last month. Despite a spirited second-half display seeing a youthful Whites side battle back from two goals down, City cruelly snatched all three points thanks to a last-gasp winner.
Action from the LNER Community Stadium gets underway at 7pm.
