Exclusive report claims Chelsea have sent scouts to watch new 19 year old target in Turkey

Turkish Football claim that Chelsea have “entered the fray” in the chase for Fenerbahce defender Yusuf Akcicek, the 19 year old making waves in the Bosporus with his performances for the Turkish giants.
The Blues have joined a list of Premier League clubs competing for the young Turk’s signature, the specialist site claims. Scouts have already been sent by Chelsea to watch the youngster with a summer move in mind.
The site note that Akcicek’s composure and “robust defensive capabilities” have already brought plenty of attention from sides in England, with a summer move (whether that’s to Stamford Bridge or elsewhere) now looking very likely.
Chelsea see him as a “valuable asset for the future,” and it seems likely he would initially be loaned out – perhaps even back to Fener themselves – before we try to integrate him into the first team.
Also interested are Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa according to this report.

Chelsea have spent a lot of money on central defenders without managing to settle on anything solid. There is a long queue in that position, but with the likes of Trevoh Chalobah and Axel Disasi likely to move on permanently in the summer, and Wesley Fofana’s long term injury issue continuing, there could yet be room for another.
Akcicek looks a talent – but then again so does Aaron Anselmino, and we’ve yet to see him play a minute yet. Are we giving up on him, or just looking to add to our endlessly growing group of young players to flip for profit?
Our problems with deciding on a really reliable pair of central defenders won’t be solved if we keep mixing up the options. It’s time to settle
