Speaking exclusively with FLW, Lee Hendrie has been discussing the form and potential transfer interest in West Brom star Isaac Price.

West Brom could attract transfer interest due to Isaac Price's "super start" to the Championship season, according to Lee Hendrie.

The West Brom attacking midfielder has been one of the standout performers in the first two Championship games this season, having found the net three times, including a brace in the Baggies' hard-fought away win against the newly-promoted Wrexham.

Price joined West Brom in January 2025 on a four-and-a-half-year deal from Belgian side Standard Liege.

It was a move that brought about excitement around the Hawthorns, and after settling in to life back in England last season having made 15 appearances for his new club, the 21-year-old seems to be kicking-on this campaign.

In those 15 league appearances last term, Price merely managed to find the net once and provide one assist. However, so far this season, the Northern Irish international looks fresh, sharp, and a danger to opposition defences.

If Price keeps up his good form in the Baggies' coming games, with the transfer window's closure on the horizon, we could well see interest from other clubs given his superb start to the season.

Lee Hendrie thinks Issac price could turn heads after "super start" for West Brom

After getting off to a flyer this season by registering at least one goal contribution in each game Price has played, his impressive run could attract attention from other clubs wanting his signature.

Speaking exclusively to Football League World, ex-Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie also believes that clubs could come calling.

Hendrie said, "Isaac Price, there is definitely going to be interest in him."

He went on to say, "He's got off to a really good start to the season, and when things are starting to go well, I think sometimes the interest might come a little bit further down the line to see if he can keep that consistent level."

With the closing of the transfer window fast approaching on the 1 September, the signing of Price could well be a risk for any club as the transfer could purely be based on the outstanding run of form he is on.

Clubs could bide their time for Issac Price

Instead of rushing into doing business with little time to negotiate a deal, Hendrie suggests clubs should bide their time in making a decision on the potential signing of Price.

"But yes, super start, good player," Hendrie continued.

"And I think whether there might be interest so early on, I think more so in January if he is to keep up this superb start that he has had to this season."

Merely being 21 years of age, combined with his lack of experience playing in the EFL, could mean it would be smarter for clubs to hold off on their approach for the youngster before more evidence of his talent is supplied.

However, if Price is to continue as one of the hottest prospects in the Championship come January, it may be hard for West Brom to say no to offers for their promising young star.
