The Seasiders are keen on a swoop for Northern Ireland international Bailey Peacock-Farrell
Blackpool are plotting a transfer swoop for Birmingham City goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell, sources have exclusively informed Football League World.
The Seasiders are pressing ahead with their business this summer as they look to improve on their ninth-placed finish in League One last season, with no fewer than seven arrivals at Bloomfield Road so far - the latest being Crystal Palace full-back Danny Imray on loan.
One of Steve Bruce's new signings has been a goalkeeper, with Wycombe Wanderers stopper Franco Ravizzoli making the move to Bloomfield Road, but the veteran English manager wants more competition for the starting spot in-between the sticks, and he now looks set to move for an international goalkeeper.
It was reported elsewhere in June that after his loan spell at Blackpool last season, where he played 38 times and kept 12 clean sheets, Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer was on the club's transfer radar on a permanent deal.
However, it appears that Bruce has moved on to other targets now, and FLW has been told that a move is being lined up for Birmingham City's Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
The 28-year-old now appears to be out-of-favour at St. Andrew's under Chris Davies, who has chosen to loan in Brighton and England under-21's goalkeeper James Beadle, who will likely be first-choice in the Championship for Blues.
Peacock-Farrell, who has been capped 48 times for Northern Ireland's senior team, joined City last summer from Burnley, but after starting the club's first seven League One matches in 2024-25, but after a 3-2 win over Peterborough United, the ex-Leeds United man was dropped in favour of Ryan Allsop for most of the remainder of the campaign.
Now third-choice at Birmingham, Peacock-Farrell could now have an opportunity for more regular minutes with Blackpool, should they be able to strike a deal for his services.
