Jurgen Klinsmann has shared his opinion about the Inter Milan standout duo Beppe Marotta and Simone Inzaghi.

During his recent interview with Il Secolo XIX via FCinterNews, Klinsmann offered his verdict on the Nerazzurri’s chances of achieving UEFA Champions League glory, among other things.

“I recently came to the party organized by Ernesto Ellegrini for president Beppe Marotta,” the former UEFA Cup winner said.

“Beppe Bergomi and Riccardo Ferri were there. Inter must try to win the Champions League, they have a lot of quality.”

Simone Inzaghi guided Inter to their 20th Scudetto last season.

However, Marotta deserves much credit for Inter’s return to prominence.

Indeed, he has been the mastermind behind the club’s outstanding transfer dealings.

Without splashing out insane figures, Marotta has assembled a formidable squad.

Meanwhile, Inzaghi’s tactical masterclass has turned them into a force to be reckoned with in Serie A and Europe.

“Marotta and Simone Inzaghi are exceptional,” Klinsmann added.

“For me, it is ready. But it will depend on grit, hunger,” he assessed the club’s European chances.

Inter have enjoyed a superb start to the new Champions League campaign.

Indeed, they’ve won three of their opening four games, barring a scoreless draw at Manchester City.

A hard-earned 1-0 home triumph against Arsenal last time out solidified their quest for automatic knockout qualification.

However, there’s no room for complacency.

The newly formatted league phase leaves a little wriggle room, meaning every point matters.

Inter can draw further confidence from their stellar form after losing the Milan derby in mid-September.

Inzaghi’s charges have since gone unbeaten in ten consecutive games across all competitions.

Furthermore, they’ve whittled down the gap on Serie A leaders Napoli to a single point.

They could ascend the throne this weekend with a win against out-of-sorts Hellas Verona.
