Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing in Westminster Magistrates Court in London on charges of rape & sexual assault.
The 32 year old Ghanaian international faces 5 count of rape involving 2 women and additional sexual assault charge related to third woman. The alleged offences reportedly took place between 2021 & 2022 during his time with Arsenal.
Partey appeared in court on Tuesday wearing black zip up jacket standing with his hands behind his back in the dock.
As part of his bail conditions, Partey's prohibited from contacting any of 3 women involved and must inform police of any permanent changes to his address or international travel plans.
The court appearance follows reports that Partey's close to signing with La Liga club Villarreal, just days after his Arsenal contract expired at the end of June.
His next court appearance's scheduled for 2 Sep. London police confirmed that the initial report of rape was filed in Feb 2022.
Partey's lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire previously stated that her client "denies all the allegations" adding that he "welcomes the opportunity to clear his name"..
