“Great to see Yunus Musah again at Hale End,” Copley wrote on Twitter. “Best smile ever and such a brilliant lad thriving at AC Milan which is of course all down to me.”

“Thanks for everything,” Musah responded in a reply of his own.

Musah joined AC Milan last summer, but with a week between their last game against Torino on Saturday and their final game of the season this weekend, he evidently had some time off to visit London.

It’s been a busy campaign for the 21-year-old so far, as he’s made 40 appearances for Milan between the Serie A, Champions League, Europa League, and the Coppa Italia.

But it’s likely Musah will now have a busy summer too, with Copa America coming up in June.

Though he spent most of his footballing youth career in England, playing for Arsenal and the England youth teams, Musah was born in New York City, and he opted to represent the USA internationally.

The midfielder has gone on to make 35 international appearances since his 2020 debut, including at the 2022 World Cup and in three CONCACAF Nations League-winning campaigns (2019/20, 2022/23, and 2023/24).

It’s very likely he’ll receive a call-up this summer, with a couple of friendlies before Copa America begins, so his summer holiday can only truly begin in July.
