11 players are at risk of picking up a suspension in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final between Inter and Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, which is the last game in the competition before the yellow card count is wiped clear.
Inter host Bayern for the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Tuesday night. The Nerazzurri have a 2-1 advantage before kick-off thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi at the Allianz Arena last Tuesday.
Five of Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri players picked up bookings during the first leg of the Bayern quarter-final, which puts two of them at risk of suspension: Namely captain Lautaro Martinez and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Benjamin Pavard, Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella and Denzel Dumfries are also on two yellow cards in the competition so far, which means that they will miss out on the first leg of the semi-final if they pick up a third booking on Wednesday night. Dumfries is injured and will not play.
UEFA rules state that players will be suspended for one game after their third yellow card of the competition, starting from the league phase. The yellow card count is wiped clean at the end of the quarter-finals.
Bayern also have five players at risk of picking up a suspension. The returning Kingsley Coman is among them, as is Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane and Konrad Laimer.
Leon Goretzka is also at risk of suspension, despite already serving a one-game ban earlier in the 2024-25 Champions League campaign, as he is currently on four yellow cards. Players are also suspended after their fifth, seventh and ninth bookings.
