Everton: Beto and Iliman Ndiaye on target as the Toffees triumph over Wolves
Everton defeated Wolverhampton 3-2 at Molineux this Saturday, August 30, 2025, in the Premier League. Beto and Iliman Ndiaye found the back of the net for the Toffees, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also getting on the scoresheet. This win allows the visitors to maintain their strong start to the season.
David Moyes’ side seized the initiative as early as the 7th minute. Beto opened the scoring for Everton after an assist from Jack Grealish. The Bissau-Guinean striker netted for the second consecutive Premier League match.
Wolves responded quickly, leveling through Hee-Chan Hwang in the 21st minute after a pass from Marshall Munetsi. The South Korean midfielder brought the hosts back into the contest. Everton regained the lead before halftime thanks to Iliman Ndiaye. The Senegal international netted the Toffees’ second in the 33rd minute, set up by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. That strike restored confidence for the visitors heading into the break.
The second half couldn’t have started better for Everton. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored a superb goal in the 55th minute, once again assisted by Jack Grealish. The former Manchester City man delivered his third assist of the match.
Wolverhampton refused to give up and cut the deficit through Rodrigo Gomes in the 79th minute. The young Portuguese forward, who had come on for Daniel Muniz Wolfe, reignited the suspense at Molineux. Rodrigo Gomes nearly grabbed an equalizer in stoppage time, but his effort was off target. Vitor Pereira and his side thus suffered their third defeat in as many league matches.
