Enzo Maresca has been talking ahead of Sunday.

Only three rounds of matches to go and noon on Sunday at St James’ Park looks massive.

“I think Alexander Isak is a top player but Newcastle United have more players.

“We need to work as a team and we need to stop them as a team.

“Sandro Tonali this season has probably been top for Newcastle.

“He is doing very well, he is a fantastic player.

“I have known him since he was at Brescia and then he moved to AC Milan and now here in England.

“But Newcastle have many good players and we are going to try to prepare the game in the best way that we think we can win the game.”

Enzo Maresca on the final three games in the battle for a place in the Champions League:

“Sunday is a huge one and Man United will be a big one and Nottingham Forest will be a big one.

“Now we have three more games and all of them will be big games for sure.

“Sunday is a chance to start the right way.

“We are on a good run and in a good mood, hopefully we can play a good game and win the game”

Enzo Maresca asked about Chelsea playing matches on Thursday night and then 12 noon on Sunday, though they made 10 changes last night:

“It’s not the ideal situation but we need to play the game, so we need adapt and prepare the game in the right way and hopefully we can continue our good moment.”
