Eintracht Frankfurt

Frankfurt will head into matchday 11 in third position after winning six, drawing two and losing two of their 10 league matches. However, Frankfurt’s success has not been restricted to the Bundesliga, having put together a six-game unbeaten run in all competitions. Die Adler kicked off that run of results with a Europa League win over Riga FS before they played out a 1-1 league draw with Union Berlin.

Dino Toppmöller’s side went on to beat Borussia Mönchengladbach in the DFB-Pokal, before they recorded victories over Bochum and Slavia Prague in the Bundesliga and Europa League respectively. Frankfurt made it four wins on the bounce in their final outing before the international break, with Hugo Ekitike, Nathaniel Brown and Omar Marmoush all finding the net in a 3-0 win over Stuttgart.

Die Adler will fancy their chances of claiming another positive result on Saturday, especially as they are yet to taste defeat at Deutsche Bank Park this season. In fact, Frankfurt have won six of their eight competitive home games, including three victories in their four home league matches.

Team News

The hosts are unable to call upon the services of Aurèle Amenda and Rasmus Kristensen.

Werder Bremen

Bremen will be satisfied with their work this season, having won four, drawn three and lost three of their 10 Bundesliga matches. As a result of that record, Ole Werner’s side are sitting in eighth place with just two points separating them from the top four.

Werner would have been encouraged by his team’s form before the international break, with their last five competitive matches producing three wins, one draw and one defeat. They beat Wolfsburg and earned a hard-fought point against Bayer Leverkusen, before they edged out Paderborn in the DFB-Pokal. After suffering a heavy defeat against Gladbach, Bremen produced a positive response to claim a narrow 2-1 win over Holstein-Kiel. Jens Stage and Oliver Burke grabbed a goal apiece to fire Bremen to their first home win of the Bundesliga season.

Die Werderaner will return from the international break with an away fixture, and they may fancy their chances of claiming all three points after winning three of their last four away league matches.

Team News

Bremen are expected to be without Felix Agu, Jens Stage and Oliver Burke due to injury.
