Eight City players have been included in the finalised men's and women's squads for the 2024 FIFPRO World XI.
Seven members of Pep Guardiola's Premier League champions are in contention for the prestigious recognition, while Alex Greenwood is our sole representative in the women's squad.
Ederson is one of just three goalkeepers to reach this stage, while Ruben Dias and Kyle Walker are amongst the seven defenders.
Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri and Phil Foden are all amongst the midfield shortlist and double Premier League Golden Boot winner Erling Haaland features amongst the forwards.
This news comes a few days after City received eight nominations for this year's FIFA The Best awards and just over a month on from a momentous Ballon d'Or success for Rodri.
2023/24 also saw incredible success for Foden, who picked up many of the domestic accolades including Premier League Player of the Year and PFA Footballer of the Year.
Over 21,000 men’s footballers from 70 countries have voted for their team of the year, while the women's award has seen more than 7,000 players have their say. The World 11 is the only global football award decided exclusively by professional footballers.
The finalists are the 26 players who have received the most votes from the summer of 2023 through to the summer of 2024.
The goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards who have received the most votes will be selected for the World 11. The final spot in the World 11 will be assigned to the remaining outfield player with the next highest number of votes.
All will be revealed on Monday 9 December 2024 from 13:00 (UK).
