Reports on social media suggest long-term injury absentee Timber is with the team in Manchester, and he has a chance to make the final 20 for the game, though there’s no confirmation on that front yet.

Whether Timber makes the final squad or not, this is another forward step. The defender didn’t join his teammates for the last game against Bournemouth, but this time he has.

Arsenal have had a couple of injury concerns this week, with Takehiro Tomiyasu missing a training session to do individual work indoors, and Bukayo Saka wearing strapping in training following a kick last weekend against Bournemouth.

When asked about Tomiyasu and Saka in his pre-Manchester United press conference on Friday, Mikel Arteta admitted they were among the doubts for the clash.

“We have a few doubts that tomorrow (Saturday) can resolve because we have another training session so we will have to wait and see,” Arteta said.

“There are doubts over the names that you discussed (Tomiyasu and Saka).”

As for Timber, the defender was in full training this week, having already played a couple of games for the Arsenal u21s. We’ll find out this afternoon whether Arteta plans to use him in the final matchday squad or not.
