Multiple outlets are reporting that Milan have a full agreement in place with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Nigeria international Victor Boniface, who is set to join the Rossoneri on loan with an option to buy.
According to the likes of Fabrizio Romano, Matteo Moretto and Florian Plettenberg, Milan have reached an agreement to sign Boniface on an initial season-long loan deal, and already have an agreement in place for a four-year contract with the 24-year-old beginning from the start of next season.
Milan will reportedly pay a fee of around €5m to sign Boniface on loan, and will have a non-madatory buy option for an additional €24m, taking the total cost of the operation to a figure just shy of €30m.

The Rossoneri have been actively searching for a new centre-forward over the last few weeks given that Santiago Gimenez is currently the only senior striker in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
A slight injury to Rafael Leao, who had started as a centre-forward in Milan’s first competitive match of the 2025-26 season, has also increased the urgency for a new striker in San Siro.

Milan had also been linked with moves for Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund and Juventus’s Dusan Vlahovic, but have been unable to come to a full agreement with any of the aforementioned parties despite weeks of negotiations.
Once Boniface’s move is completed, he will become Milan’s eighth new signing of the summer transfer window, following the previous arrivals of Luka Modric, Ardon Jashari, Samuele Ricci, Koni De Winter, Pervis Estupinan, Zachary Athekame and Pietro Terracciano.
