‘Disrespectful & annoying’ – Barcelona’s Pedri reveals frustration with Real Madrid star | OneFootball

Barcelona star Pedri has on Thursday provided an insight into his disagreement with the tactics made use of by Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger when on the pitch.

Pedri and Rüdiger, of course, are primed to lock horns for the latest occasion on Friday night.

This time round, as much will come on the international front, when Spain and Germany face off for a spot in the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

Speaking to the media earlier today, the prospect of renewing rivalries with a leading member of the defensive ranks at Real Madrid was in turn put to Pedri.

Specifically, the 21-year-old was drawn on some of the ‘dark arts’ which Rüdiger has so long made use of to gain an advantage on his opponents.

And though Pedri went on to acknowledge that the German is indeed a top-level performer, he also pointed towards Rüdiger’s pinching and prodding of opponents as both ‘disrespectful’ and ‘annoying’.

“He is a powerful and very good centre-back,” the Barcelona starlet began, during an interview with Radio Marca. “But you don’t have to fear him. The pinching seems disrespectful to me because it hurts and is annoying.”
