The excitement is building once again as the new season kicks off with the draw for the first round of the DFB-Pokal. As is tradition, the draw will take place this Sunday at the German Football Museum in Dortmund, starting at around 17:15 CEST.

As a Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig are seeded and therefore guaranteed to face a lower-league opponent from the amateur pot, with all of those sides set to enjoy home advantage. First-round ties will be played between 15th and 18th August 2025.
