After Morgan Rogers stunned the Parc des Princes with an opener completely against the run of play for Aston Villa, PSG could have been forgiven for thinking history was repeating itself against English opposition.

Luckily for them, Désiré Doué took matters into his own hands.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a fine first season in Paris, and hit his 13th and best goal just four minutes after Villa's slick strike on the counter.

And what a hit it was as he gave pantomime villain Emiliano Martínez no chance with a simply ludicrous strike from the edge of the box.

After Declan Rice's heroics last night, a better goal didn't seem possible, but the youngster has made a good claim, and announced himself to the rest of Europe in the process.
