Aurelio De Laurentiis insists Napoli players, including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, will remain for as long as the club want, while Antonio Conte is among the ‘top five coaches in the world.’

On Saturday evening, De Laurentiis attended an event organised by Corriere dello Sport and spoke to the Rome-based paper and Sky Sport Italia.

“We challenge the power of the North. We are at the top of the table, and we want to continue fighting until the end to satisfy our fans,” he said.

“Conte is a unique football leader. I like his ability to give the team what they need, depending on the opponent.”

ADL praised Conte also during an interview with Sky.

“Conte doesn’t need to come to Napoli to show who he is. We’ve all considered him one of the top five coaches in the world.

“However, out of superstition, it’s better to remain quiet and let him work peacefully. Focus is the most essential thing in any work.”

Furthermore, De Laurentiis answered questions about Osimhen and Kvara. The Nigerian striker is currently on loan at Galatasaray, where he’s scored three goals and provided four assists in five appearances.

“It’s good, when we sign players, we also know how to valorise them,” noted ADL.

On the other hand, Kvaratskhelia is in talks to extend his contract at the Stadio Maradona, but negotiations have led nowhere so far.

“The footballers we have will remain in Napoli for as long as we want,” ADL told Sky Sport.

“It’s never a problem when we consider their journey over. We proved it in the past. We’ve always respected what players desire, and players must respect our investments.”
