Manchester City announced on Tuesday, after their match against Bournemouth, that Kevin De Bruyne is to be honoured with a statue at the Etihad Stadium.
Following the team’s latest victory, De Bruyne spoke of his pride at receiving such recognition from the club:

“It means I’ll always be a part of this club. When I come back here with my family and friends, I can see myself. So I’ll always be with City.”
The Belgian midfielder’s statue will be the fifth to stand outside the stadium, joining those of Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Sergio Agüero and the trio of Mike Summerbee, Francis Lee and Colin Bell.
It’s worth noting that during his time at City, the experienced playmaker has scored 108 goals and provided 168 assists in 421 appearances.
