Real Madrid’s 2024/25 campaign ran longer than almost all other La Liga clubs as they were participating in the FIFA Club World Cup, along with Atletico Madrid.
The Merengues crashed out of the tournament at the semi-final stage, when they were hammered by European champions PSG.
Currently on a holiday, Real Madrid stars will soon reconvene to start preparations for the new season, set to kick off in August.
Now, according to journalist Alvaro Esteban, Real Madrid players are scheduled to start training for the next campaign on Monday, August 4.
Before kicking off what will be a condensed pre-season programme, Los Blancos will undergo medical examinations, potentially on the preceding Sunday, before they take to the pitch at the Valdebebas.

Real Madrid’s season kicks off on August 19, Tuesday, when they take on Osasuna in their La Liga opener.
It would mean that Real Madrid will have a proper pre-season training of only two weeks before their campaign begins, which is far from ideal.
As such, the Spanish capital giants have been pushing La Liga to postpone their opener vs Osasuna to a later date, but their requests have fallen on deaf ears thus far.
So, unless there is any substantial changes, it seems like Real Madrid will begin pre-season training on August 4, two weeks before they take on Osasuna in their first match of the 2025/26 season under the management of Xabi Alonso.
