Crystal Palace have rejected two separate offers from Liverpool for Marc Guehi this summer, with both bids falling well short of the club’s valuation.

Guehi’s uncertain contract situation has prompted interest from several Premier League clubs, but Palace are determined not to lose one of their most valuable assets on the cheap.

Liverpool, who are keen to reinforce their defence and view Guehi as a long-term solution, have refused to meet Palace’s demands.

The Merseyside club are also targeting attacking reinforcements, with Alexander Isak among the players being considered.

The Reds’ strategy is unlikely to involve a bidding war for Guehi, especially given the potential to sign him on a free transfer next summer.

While they are understood to rate the England international highly, Liverpool do not intend to be drawn into an extended negotiation if Palace remain firm on their price.

Guehi, who impressed again last season, has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Newcastle United.

The Magpies had a £65 million bid turned down last year, and Palace are reluctant to accept a lower figure this time around despite the risk of losing the player for nothing in 2026.

Guehi is expected to remain part of Oliver Glasner’s plans for the upcoming campaign, although he would be open to a move this summer if the right offer arrived.

A switch to Liverpool, with the club preparing for another title challenge under Arne Slot, is believed to appeal to the 25-year-old.

However, Palace are prepared to take their chances. They are not actively looking to sell and would rather keep Guehi for another season than accept a bid that fails to reflect his value.
