Cristiano Ronaldo really is the definition of evergreen.
Even as he knocks on the door of 40, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner continues to smash records.
Ronaldo’s latest record-breaking accolade came in Al-Nassr’s encounter with Al-Ittihad on Monday evening.
A brace from the Portugal captain took his domestic tally in 2023/24 to 35 goals, eclipsing the most scored in a single Saudi Pro League season.
Abderrazak Hamdallah, who ironically left Al-Nassr for Al-Ittihad, was the previous record holder with 34 goals plundered during 2018/19.
But Ronaldo has taken his predecessor’s crown while also becoming the first player to be top scorer in four different leagues.
In addition to the Pro League, he previously topped the charts in the Premier League, LaLiga and Serie A.
