Cremonese appoint Davide Nicola as new manager | OneFootball

Less than a month after leaving Cagliari, Davide Nicola hasn’t wasted any time getting back to work. The experienced coach has officially been named the new manager of Cremonese, who secured promotion to Serie A for the 2025/26 season.

The Grigiorossi opted for the proven reliability of the 52 year-old, who’s known for his track record in top-flight survival battles. Nicola has signed a contract through June 2027, and will be tasked with keeping the club in Serie A.

“U.S. Cremonese has officially announced the appointment of Davide Nicola as the club’s new first-team manager,” wrote Cremonese on their official website.

“Nicola is widely respected for his clear tactical identity, strong motivational skills, and exceptional personality traits—all of which make him the ideal figure to guide Cremonese through the challenges of Serie A.”
