When Barcelona hosted PSG for the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 matchup in 2017, almost no one believed they had a chance to advance.
A dismal performance in Paris left the Blaugrana trailing 4-0—a deficit no team had ever overcome in a two-legged European tie.
By the 50th minute, they had incredibly closed the gap with three unanswered goals, only for Edinson Cavani to silence the Camp Nou with a crucial away goal, leaving Barcelona once again needing three more to advance.
Even when Neymar’s free-kick found the net with just two minutes remaining, it still seemed like Barcelona was out of the running.
Then, Neymar converted a penalty in injury time, sending the home crowd into a frenzy, before Sergi Roberto put them into dreamland by sticking out a leg to tap in a loose ball in the 95th minute, completing the comeback of all comebacks.
Such drama is unlikely ever to be repeated.
