Napoli boss Antonio Conte addressed the media today ahead of the club's top-of-the-table clash with Inter at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Sitting just one point adrift of Simone Inzaghi's outfit, Partenopei have suffered of late after three consecutive draws and a defeat last time out against Como, which now sees them under pressure from Atalanta.

To make matters worse, star midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa suffered a muscle injury against Como and will now be unavailable.

When quizzed by the press on how he may replace the Cameroonian, with one of Billy Gilmour, or Philip Billing the candidates in question, Conte addressed what both may bring to the table.

"Good question, I've been carrying it around with me all week. I still have 24 hours to decide, but it's a technical question that's nice to receive, they're specific," he said.

"Both things could be right, we'll try to make the best choice by seeing the guys, always trying to find a solution to the injuries that are part of the journey."

There are those who make up for it more easily, others have more difficulty, but the solution must be found, we've worked on it and you'll see it tomorrow".

Conte added further context surrounding Billing, a player who joined during the January window but has already settled to life at the club.

"He's a player with a great physical structure, good technique, I'm happy he had the chance to play."

"When you don't start the season with the team and you get to mid-January you find yourself in difficulty with a new methodology and a new technical-tactical situation, settling in, understanding the movements, but with Como, it helped him a lot to come in more."

"Today, unlike pre-Como, I'm not worried about letting him play from the start or coming on as a substitute, I saw that he has assimilated certain things, he's a serious guy and I'm very happy."

With Napoli's make-or-break chance at defining the Scudetto race for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, Conte must get this one spot on.
