Fulham are considering making an approach for Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Blues have been busy this summer and have already made three signings in Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Chelsea are currently working on signing Dutch duo Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato, and are thought to be making good progress on both deals.

Whilst incomings are important, the Blues also have a number of players they need to move on before the end of the window.

Noni Madueke, Djordje Petrovic and Kepa Arrizabalaga have all left, but Renato Veiga’s move to Atletico Madrid has fallen through.

It’s a good start, but there’s more work to be done, with one of the biggest jobs finding a permanent solution for Sterling.

Sterling’s career has been on a steady decline since he joined Chelsea in 2022 for £50m, and he was even booed by supporters during the 2023/2024 campaign.

The England international spent last season on loan at Arsenal, but failed to make an impact with the Gunners, and is now back at Chelsea training with the “bomb” squad.

Chelsea are said to want £20m for Sterling, and he’s thought to be attracting interest from clubs around Europe, including teams in the Champions League.

Sterling was reportedly offered to Napoli, and Jacobs has now provided an update on the 30-year-old’s future.

He took to X.com and said:

“Fulham are considering an approach for Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling.

“Chelsea prefer a permanent exit, which would require Sterling to reduce his wage for Fulham to proceed.

“Sterling has also been offered to Napoli this week.”

Dewsbury-Hall also of interest

Sterling isn’t the only Chelsea player Fulham have got their eye on, and it’s been reported they are also interested in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Dewsbury-Hall joined Chelsea last summer in a deal worth £30m from Leicester, but didn’t have a huge role to play.

However, the 26-year-old did feature prominently in the successful Conference League campaign, and was also used in the Club World Cup, and it appears he’s happy to remain at Stamford Bridge.
