Brentford B play their penultimate PL cup game of Group I knowing a win sets up an already exciting final group-stage clash against London rivals Chelsea in a week's time.
The B team have been on a roll in the league and in the PL Cup, dispatching teams with excellent performances.
Neil MacFarlane's side responded to two defeats earlier in the competitions with successive wins against Bournemouth (home) and Derby County (away), to put them in a great position to qualify from Group I.
The young Bees are on a 14-game unbeaten streak whilst also enjoying a nine-match winning streak, and McManus said that the team are just enjoying their football.
“I think we are just playing our football and the results have come with it," he explained.
"We have not thought too much about the results but with how we are playing, I feel like we are bound to be producing quality results.
"As a team, we know we started the season too slowly for our standards but as we continued to grow and get better and stronger, you could tell that regardless of who played, things were clicking."
Conor McManus returned to action in the team's 3-0 away win against Cardiff City last Tuesday.
The defender was one of seven changes to the side that cruised to victory and McManus emphasised that regardless of who plays, they understand the assignment at hand.
“The lads are really motivated and I would say competition for places is at its highest. Everyone wants to play and Neil is very demanding, so to get into the team you have to work hard," he said.
"There are so many quality players in the team and I think we have a chance of beating anyone we play.
"Whether I am on the bench or I am starting, I will try my best to impact the team as much as I can."
Brentford were 4-1 winners in their last PL Cup game as a goal from Isaac Holland and an Ethan Brierley hat-trick were enough to secure victory away from home against Derby County.
The young Bees were also on the winning side in their PL Cup test prior to that success against the Rams, as they beat Bournemouth Under-21s 2-1 at Wheatsheaf Park in November.
Bournemouth U21s have three points after four games in Group I, winning once and losing three times so far.
The Cherries have a goal difference of -4 and sit bottom of Group I.
Brentford have already beaten Bournemouth in the group as Iwan Morgan and Ashley Hay netted in the aforementioned 2-1 win.
The club will have updates of the match against Bournemouth on social media, as well as a match report on the official website and official app.
