Manchester City take on Juventus in the final group stage game of the FIFA Club World Cup as the two sides battle it out for top spot.

Having won both of their respective matches against Morocco’s Wydad AC and the United Arab Emirates’ Al Ain, Juventus narrowly edge out Manchester City on goal difference to keep the fate of first-place in their own hands going into matchday three.

Pep Guardiola’s players did their very best to change those fortunes last time out, as they defeated Al Ain 6-0 in Atlanta, Georgia but needed one extra goal to overturn goal difference, and as such require nothing but a win against the Italian sides to be crowned group winners.

Depending on where Manchester City finish in Group G will also decide what side of the knock-out bracket they will sit from the last-16 onwards, pairing with second-place out of Real Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg, and Al Hilal.

With plenty still to play for despite a place in the knockout stages confirmed for Manchester City, all focus and attention will go into this week’s clash with the Serie A giants over in Orlando, Florida.

And ahead of the meeting between Juventus and Manchester City, FIFA have now announced the list of match officials to oversee proceedings at the Camping World Stadium!

Match Referee

Juventus against Manchester City in Florida’s Orlando will be officiated by on-field match referee Clement Turpin, FIFA have confirmed this week.

The highly-experienced French referee took charge of a total of 40 matches across all competitions last season, issuing a total of 120 yellow cards, one second yellow dismissal, and four straight red cards, alongside 19 penalties.

Among those games were two contests involving Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, including the last time they faced Juventus which came in a league phase clash in Turin resulting in a 2-0 win for the Italians.

The most-recent clash involving Manchester City officiated by the 43-year-old referee came at the Etihad Stadium in the first-leg of the last-16 play-off clash against Real Madrid, which ended in a 2-3 victory for the Spanish giants.

Turpin has taken charge of just one match so far at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, issuing two yellow cards in Mamelodi Sundowns’ 0-1 victory over Ulsan HD at the Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Assistant Referees

Accompanying Clement Turpin on the pitch in Orlando on Thursday night will be fellow French match officials Nicolas Danos and Benjamin Pages, completing an all-French on-field team of referees at the Camping World Stadium.

Video Assistant Referees

Taking on the role of Video Assistant Referee for Juventus against Manchester City will be French official Jérôme Brisard, accompanied by Assistant Video Assistant Referee Hernan Mastrangelo of Argentina.

Allocated to the role of Support Video Assistant Referee is the United States’ Armando Villarreal.

Fourth Official

Standing between the two dugouts overseen by Juventus’ Igor Tudor and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola will be highly-regarded Romanian referee Istvan Kovacs, taking on the role of fourth official for the contest.
