An insight into the financial terms of the contract renewal offer on the table for Liverpool star and Real Madrid transfer target Trent Alexander-Arnold has today been forthcoming.

And the news will no doubt come as a source of concern for those behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of The Mirror, amongst others, that Liverpool have put a deal worth a massive €360,000-per-week in front of the club’s transfer-linked defender.

Spread over five years, this amounts to an eye-watering sum in the region of €93 million.

Even with a considerable signing bonus on the table at Real Madrid, the Spanish champions are unlikely to be willing to match such financial figures.

It therefore now remains to be seen if the lure of lining out in the famed white of Carlo Ancelotti’s side is sufficient to counteract what would be a historic extension for Alexander-Arnold at Anfield.
