Como have refused to let coach Cesc Fabregas join Inter Milan.
In an official press release, via FCInterNews, Como owner Mirwan Suwarso made clear that the Lombard club have “communicated directly” to Inter that Fabregas is going nowhere.
Inter Milan have been working to snap up coach Cesc Fabregas. They want the Spaniard as a replacement for Simone Inzaghi following his departure to join Al-Hilal.
Reports indicate that Inter have been working to convince Como. And that they have already met with Fabregas.
However, it would always be key for the Nerazzurri to get the green light both from Fabregas and from Como.
“I started with this club because I was thinking of a long-term project,” Fabregas stated. “I don’t want to end my career at a club where there’s a plan for one or two years and then everything ends.
“And I strongly believe in Como’s long-term project. I arrived here as a player and I’m very, very happy because I can work here the way I want to.
“We share the same goals and the same ambition. The president allows me to work the way I want, in the way I see things.
“Fortunately, we share the same vision, the same goal, which is to go as far as possible.

At the same time, there have been reports that behind the scenes, Inter’s project has strongly tempted Fabregas.
Therefore, behind the scenes the Nerazzurri have been working to decisively convince the 38-year-old.
But in another twist in the saga, Como themselves have stepped in. They have looked to silence the links between Inter and Cesc Fabregas.
Como President Mirwan Suwarso stated in a press release that “We’ve communicated our refusal directly to the President of Inter.”
“He acknowledged it,” he went on. “With the courtesy and clarity expected between two clubs that respect each other.”
“For this reason we treat the rumours as pure fantasy.”
Suwarso stated that “it’s unlikely that anyone would insist after such a clear response.”
