AC Milan take on Torino tonight in Serie A, and it will give them a chance to have a look up close at summer transfer target Samuele Ricci.

Calciomercato.com writes that Ricci will be ‘under special observation’ as the ‘big mercato target’ for this coming summer. In the last days of the winter window, the management tried to bring the move forward to January but were ultimately met by resistance.

However, the ‘wall’ put up by Urbano Cairo is destined to fall in the summer, given the promise made to the Italy international by the Torino president. Ricci recently renewed his contract with Torino until 2028 – as a sign of gratitude towards the club – with no release clause.

However, as part of it there was a verbal agreement reach that he will be sold in the summer in exchange for an offer of around €25-30m. The 23-year-old is the Rossoneri’s priority for June and Sergio Conceiçao also hinted at it in his press conference.

He said: “Torino has very interesting players, like Ricci for example.” It is a clear message in view of the summer window, and Milan has already reached an agreement with the player, to get ahead of the competition.

Ricci’s great performances have attracted the interest of several foreign clubs (Manchester City above all) but also Inter, who consider him the number one target in the event of Hakan Calhanoglu’s departure.
